Naughty First

Tasha was a friend of mine from the office who has a wonderful husband. After my parents, I think Tasha was one of those blessed women who were gifted with a gorgeous husband who’s been very supportive of her all the way. I would always go out with Tasha during lunch and would always ask advises from her. I told Tasha that I went to see a dating services shop to avail of their services. When Tasha asked me who I will be going out with, I said I do not know yet. Tasha laughed at me and said that I should know of someone whom I will go out with before I avail of the dating services.

I was knocked hard at the head with what Tasha said because it was the truth. Tasha apologized and said she did not mean to hurt or offend me in any way. I assured Tasha that I was not offended and what she said was very true.

After going back in the office I was so preoccupied the whole afternoon. I was single for almost the entirety of my life. What Tasha told me during lunch time gave a sudden loneliness in my heart that I have no special someone.

One day, I received a special envelope that came from Tasha. The envelope contained a dating arrangement coming from dating services. Tasha set me up for a blind date! I had mixed emotions when I received the envelope, I was staring at the invitation for about ten to twenty minutes trying to figure out what to say to Tasha. During lunch time I asked Tasha why she set me up on a blind date and even paid for the dating services. Tasha told me that I was one of her girlfriend that she really cares about, that I may not know it but she was in a constant look out for a possible person who I can go out with. I told Tasha that it might cost her big to arrange a blind date from the dating services and Tasha told me that I should not worry about it because the dating services she coordinated with was the friend of her husband. Tasha even bought me a beautiful blue dress. I was really happy and thankful to Tasha not because she sets me on a blind date or paid for the dating services but because I was able to realize even more that she is a true friend to me.
