My husband and I are in the process of giving our kids a crash course

My husband and I are in the process of giving our kids a crash course on the pros and cons of dating. They are now 15 and 16 and of course both girls. We have our topics outlined that we are going to be discussing.

They are first love, blind date, and of course the proposal. To start off we will hit on the chapter of first love. Don't go picking your first blind date as your first love. During your age, you will have a lot of first loves, and will always be that one person you meet and you will announce he is my first love.

You could have a blind date tomorrow and say he is your first love. Or you could have 20 blind dates, and have 20 first loves. You see, how grand life is! It is full of mystery questions and answers. I remember one of your friends talking abouta free online dating site. You thought that was so grand, you both wanted to try it. We warned you about it, and you both thought we did not know what we were talking about.

You can tell by all the topics we had talked about, us as parents knew nothing at all. You can see, my husband and I never went through blind dates, anyone being our first love, and back in our stone age, wenever had a computer to check out free online dating sites either!

The one thing we do cherish is our proposal! Something my husband and I will forget. Our proposal is a story in itself. I will tell you just a little bit about it cause I know how kids get bored about adult stuff. My husband and I had met at a rodeo, and we were paired up in team calf roping. We were in the same age group, like he was 25 and I was 23 and the age group was 20 to 25. It was the man's choice to pick a woman out of the group. Well, my husband picked meas his partner. Out of 10 times that you were required to rope a calf, we scored 99% out of 100% We took top honors, and from then on, we made it an event that we both attended every chance we got.

After about a year or so, he finally proposed to me at the National Rodeo. An event I will never forget.
